John Graham, CLU® has been in the financial services industry throughout his entire career, spanning more than 50 years. He graduated Cum Laude from Loras College with a degree in Economics. Later he achieved the professional designation, C.L.U., Chartered Life Underwriter. John worked for a large insurance company for ten years. There he was the manager of the South and North Dakota area, with offices in Sioux Falls, SD; Pierre, SD; Minot, ND; and Grand Forks, ND. He worked for two large national wirehouses (six years with each company) before striking out to start his independent retail office.
When he started John Graham & Associates on about his 50th birthday, John's plan was to provide the community with a firm dedicated to the independent goal of serving clients, and helping them plan for their financial needs throughout life. This goal has never changed. John had the privilege of working with many individuals, families, and businesses for over three decades. He has helped build this practice on a trust relationship and an open communication policy with clients that is responsive and caring. Although he is no longer taking on new clients, he still remains a valuable member of the firm's Investment Committee.
John has always kept very busy, and honed his competitive edge in high school. There he lettered multiple times in football, baseball, wrestling, and track. He was a member of the mixed chorus when the group was invited to and participated in New York's World Fair.
John and his wife, Sharon, live in Metamora, Ill. He is the father of three children and has five grandchildren. John enjoys fishing in his free time.
